The 2017 Musigny Grand Cru has not be racked, the two barrels just rolled, this cuvée matures in 100% new oak with 25% whole bunches. It has a very refined and focused bouquet, the new oak very well integrated here, layers of black cherries, boysenberry and crushed stone aromas. It conveys the nobility one expects from this Grand Cru. The palate is medium-bodied with firm but fine tannin. There is an arching structure to this Musigny with impressive density and girth on the persistent finish. Excellent.
